Description: Beautiful Simpson Spear made of black and orange mottled Chert from the Santa Fe River Basin. Classic Simpson flaking with Transverse Parallel flaking extending all the way across the back of the blade, often called 'Cross Over' or 'Overshot' Flaking. The base and lateral edges are ground smooth extending nearly one inch up from the base corners. Found many years ago.
