Description: This 'Stamped Out' Middle Archaic Newnan Point is made of brown and tan Bay Bottom Chert. Amazing how exacting the lines are on this one. Very well made Newnan. Note the tip appears to be somewhat unfinished. It has been theorisied that points like this were not tipped until on the hunting trip to prevent the tip from getting dinged.
