~ 3" Long Bone Tool ~ Taylor Co. Florida ~ 16
Length: 3"
Grade: 8
Description: This artifact is very unusual. It is deliberately split and ground into this specific shape, buts it's exact function can only be postulated, or guessed at. The bone is not the usual Deer bone, but is dense and much like Mastodon or Mammoth bone I have encountered before. Possible uses: Small spoon for dipping; used as a wedge or for prying; maybe a Tie On- Banner componant.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission, From and old collection, Taylor Co. Florida
