Description: The Giant Sloth went extinct in North America by the end of the last Ice Age some 10,000 years ago. These large Mammals were hunted by early man, This is a Rib bone of one of these animals. You rarely find these this complete as the are relatively thin and long and they are often found in small broken pieces. But this one is nearly complete with only a few inches missing on the distal end. Found eroding out of a river in east central Iowa. (Shipping on this item is $30.)
