Description: A 30-inch strand of classic striped Venetian Trade Beads, consisting of 64 hand-wound glass beads. Each bead displays the characteristic multi-color vertical striping of red, white, cobalt blue, and green—created by applying colored glass trails around a softened core. These barrel shaped average10–13 mm each in diameter.They show oxidation, pitting, and surface wear consistent with authentic 19th-century trade circulation and were made between 1800 -1850.
Widely traded with Native American groups during the Fur Trade and Colonial periods.
These striped beads appear in both village sites and early 19th-century trading post deposits.
